Please see below for next week's centers and a few reminders. Painting Clay Sculptures: Investigates and describes various materials. Creates three-dimensional artwork. Explores with wet media. Asks and answers questions and gives directions. Transferring Water with Plastic Hoses (WATER): Talks about understanding of processes. Asks questions about materials, objects, and events in the environment. Interacts appropriately with other children by cooperating, helping, sharing, and showing interest. Spray Painting (ART): Performs fine-motor tasks that require small-muscle strength and control. Explores wet media. Contributes to the classroom community. Hello families! Monday 1/20-No School, Martin Luther King Day See attached photo for Catholic Schools Week schedule! Week of 1/26. Here's our centers for next week: Water table (Sensory) Exploring waters movement with various tools/water wheels Easel Painting with Winter Colors (Art) Making Clothespin Fences (Fine Motor) Uses a variety of materials to strengthen hand grasp, flexibility, and coordination. Welcome back & Happy New Year! We took this past week to ease back into our classroom routine. Next week we will begin OWL Unit 3: Wind & Water. Below you will find our center for next week! Painting with colors from Rabbits & Raindrops (EASEL): Creates two-dimensional artwork. Recognizes and names basic geometric shapes. Uses appropriate positional terms to describe where things are in space. Builds finger dexterity and uses thumb/forefinger pincer grasp. Blank Book and Pencils (WRITING): Uses a variety of writing and drawing tools. Experiments with letter forms. Recognizes letters and names. Let's Make Tangram Pictures! (MATH): Uses Tangram cards to compose shapes into larger figures. Recognizes shapes in multiple orientations. Sailboats (WATER): Explores what air is and what air does. Uses language to discuss or describe observations. Interacts appropriately with other children by cooperating, helping, sharing, and expressing interest.
