We had a fun week celebrating Halloween! Next week we will get back to our OWL curriculum by starting unit 2 "Friends". Below you will find our centers and stories for next week. Our centers for next week are: Washing Dishes (SAND AND WATER)- Observes and explores materials and objects in the environment. Practices strategies for promoting cleanliness. Pizza Paintings (ART): Creates two-dimensional artwork. Explores and experiments with basic shapes and lines in artwork. Builds finger dexterity and uses thumb/forefinger in pincer grasp. Exploring pizza dough (SCIENCE): Uses language to describe observations. Describes the physical properties of objects. Friendship Pictures (WRITING): Students will draw and label pictures of their friends. We had a great week! We are onto week 3 of OWL unit 1: Family (if you haven't sent in your family picture yet, please do!). Starting on Monday, 10/5 our arrival time will be changing to 8:10-8:25. Please arrive in that 15 minute period. Doors will open at 8:10 and close at 8:25. Wednesday, 10/7 will be our first school-wide half day. All students will be dismissed at 11:15. Half days will be the first Wednesday of every month for teacher professional development.
