Next week we will continue to celebrate the Holidays! We will be working on parent gifts, making Christmas trees, and writing a letter to Santa! Next week is Spirit Week, each day has a theme, check out the attached flyer for more info! Save the Date! Thursday, 12/17: K0 Christmas Party! Children do not need a snack on this day. Monday, 12/21: Free Christmas Tag Day! Tuesday, 12/22: K0 Christmas Pajama Day! Students can wear their favorite Christmas pajamas while we enjoy chocolate milk, munchkins, and a Christmas movie at snack time! Children do not need a snack on this day. It is also a half-day, dismissal at 11:15 for Christmas break! *Please let me know if you will not be sending your child to school before Christmas break. I want to make sure they take home their parent gift and a small gift from Ms. Molly & Ms. Kathy! Thank you to our Room Reps and parent volunteers! Have a great weekend! ~Ms. Molly Hello families! I hope you had a nice week! We had a great week in K0! Students loved exploring pizza doh, creating their own pizza, and washing dishes! These centers were based on unit 2 of OWL 'Friends' and the book 'The Little Red Hen Makes A Pizza' By Philemon Sturges. We have this Wednesday off for Veterans Day! See below for centers (: Grocery store play: Students will locate objects from a familiar environment. Creates simple representations of home, school, or community. Sand Castle Molds: Students will use kinetic sand and sand castle molds to create and form their own castle molds. Grocery Circular Collage: Students will cut our pictures from grocery store circulars, organize and glue pieces into a collage. We had a fun week celebrating Halloween! Next week we will get back to our OWL curriculum by starting unit 2 "Friends". Below you will find our centers and stories for next week. Our centers for next week are: Washing Dishes (SAND AND WATER)- Observes and explores materials and objects in the environment. Practices strategies for promoting cleanliness. Pizza Paintings (ART): Creates two-dimensional artwork. Explores and experiments with basic shapes and lines in artwork. Builds finger dexterity and uses thumb/forefinger in pincer grasp. Exploring pizza dough (SCIENCE): Uses language to describe observations. Describes the physical properties of objects. Friendship Pictures (WRITING): Students will draw and label pictures of their friends.
